Presentation of the First Dutch Record Encyclopaedia, the original Nederpop compilers: Robert Briel, George Evers & Roeland Bajema

One of the regular dealers at the Mega Record & Cd Fair in Utrecht NL is Record Club Utrecht. Last April they introduced the First Dutch Record Encyclopaedia at the fair. The book all Dutch Beat collectors around the world were waiting for: two volumes within a total of one thousand pages, over 2,200 descriptions and even more images. Both volumes were sold out within the weekend of the record fair and a second limited edition will be available at their stall 227 this November. You might have to hurry because there is a big demand for them!

Record Club Utrecht also releases obscure Dutch beat singles and at the next fair on November 19th & 20th they’ll introduce a new forty-five rpm single with two unreleased songs recorded by WO?W in 1966. WO?W was based in Utrecht in the mid sixties and recorded one official single on the HAVOC label. The drummer in the band Henk de Breij is the father of Claudia de Breij, now a famous Dutch comedienne and TV personality. Side one is their own composition Bluesy Bull and on the other side a cover of Excuse me Baby original recorded by the Magic Lanterns (UK). The official presentation will take place on Sunday November 20th at the stage in Hall 12 around 2 pm.
